MSCA Membership Registration
PROFESSIONAL

To be eligible for professional membership, and individual shall: (1) be engaged in school guidance work or in the training, preparation, or supervision of counselors and have at least 50% of his/her time devoted to these activities; (2) be fully certified as a professional school counselor by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as having attained the specific requirements for the guidance position they hold.
REGULAR

To be eligible for regular membership, an individual shall: (1) be engaged in school guidance work or in the training, preparation, or supervision of counselors and have at least 50% of his/her time devoted to these activities; OR (2) be fully certified by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education but not currently employed as a school counselor.
STUDENT
US$ 25.00
Students who are in training and preparation for guidance work but not currently employed as a professional school counselor shall be eligible for student membership upon presenting a statement from their major advisor. Student members shall be entitled to a 50% reduction in dues.
EMERITUS
To be eligible for emeritus membership, an individual shall: (1) have held membership in MSCA for 10 years; (2) be retired; (3) shall not be employed as a full time professional school counselor; adn (4) complete the application annually.
AFFILIATE

Any person interested in counseling but not eligible for any other type of membership may become an affiliate member upon approval of the Governing Board.
SUSTAINING
US$ 75.00
Any organization desiring to contribute to the support of the activities of MSCA may seek an annual sustaining membership
