Equity & Inclusion Committee

The MSCA Equity & Inclusion Committee seeks to promote the fair treatment and full participation of all people, particularly groups who have historically been underrepresented or subject to discrimination on the basis of identity or disability.

Committee Meetings

The committee meets virtually the first Wednesday of each month from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. To join a meeting, please contact the MSCA office at msca@c2cpro.solutions.

Committee Goals

• Promote equitable opportunities and inclusive environments by ensuring professional development offerings and resources center around diversity, equity, and inclusion. (Collaborate with Professional Development Committee)

• Partner with the Professional Development Committee to co-design and deliver DEI-focused training that helps school counselors create school communities prioritizing equity and inclusion.

• Engage in partnerships with other organizations and use current research to inform DEI-related initiatives and advocacy. (Collaborate with Publications & Papers Committee for dissemination)

• Embed at least one Equity & Inclusion Committee member in professional development planning to ensure representation in training creation.
